Barber Architects consists of its owner Tim Barber.

Barber Architects, which is a sole proprietorship,  was established in 1987 in Durham, North Carolina.

I am individually licensed in the following states:

Virginia  - 7081

South Carolina - 3741

After graduating from Va. Tech in 1979, I moved to Chapel Hill and worked for the Architectural / Engineering firm of Hakan/Corley.  Before starting my own firm I worked for Isley Architects and Brockwell/Hoke in Durham, North Carolina.

Since establishing this firm my primary types of projects are commercial,retail and multifamily.  I have also done several religious projects (churches and fellowship halls), medical projects (upfits) and daycare facilites.

My primary client are developers and contractors.  The majority of my projects are either commercial (shell buildings and office upfits) or mercantile (shell buildings and retail upfits) in nature.
